OceanVeil has officially added another notable title to its growing streaming catalog, confirming the release of I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face Returns.
WWWave Corporation’s new anime-focused streaming platform announced that the latest entry in Shimahara’s long-running doujin-based franchise will begin streaming on Thursday at 6:00 a.m. PDT. International audiences will be able to access the series through OceanVeil under its English title, while Japanese streaming platforms will also begin distribution on the same day.
The Return of a Unique Cult Franchise
Iya na Kao Sare Nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai has built a very specific reputation over the years, largely thanks to its unusual concept centered around characters presenting exaggerated expressions of disdain while directly engaging with the viewer.
This new installment, subtitled Returns, continues that formula while expanding the cast significantly. The series introduces a new lineup that includes maids, gamers, student council figures, café employees and even fantasy-inspired characters such as royalty and demon lords.
The project maintains its established identity while offering fans a broader range of personalities and scenarios.
Expanded Cast for the New Installment
The returning franchise will feature multiple new voice performances, including:
- Shizuka Ishigami as Chitose Itō
- Kanae Itō as Nanako Mita
- Hina Suguta as Kokoro Kisaragi
- Natsumi Haruse as Mei Sakura
- Rina Kawaguchi as Nene Arisu
- Ai Orikasa as Saki Kurose
- Hikaru Iida as Valmina Dia Nox
This broader cast suggests that the new season will continue emphasizing variety while maintaining the niche appeal that helped the original project gain attention.
Returning Production Team
Fans of the previous installments will also recognize much of the production staff returning for the sequel.
Saya Fukase once again directs the anime at UWAN Pictures, while creator Shimahara remains attached as original creator and general supervisor. Scriptwriting duties are handled by Atsushi Maekawa, helping preserve continuity with the franchise’s previous releases.
The ending theme, titled Je t'aime♡Je t'aime, will be performed by Mirai Skirt*.
From Doujin Success to Ongoing Multimedia Franchise
What began as a doujin project has gradually evolved into a surprisingly durable multimedia property.
Since its initial debut, the franchise has expanded through multiple Blu-ray releases, digital compilations, manga adaptations and large-scale illustration collections. According to available figures, the project has surpassed 70,000 copies in circulation across various formats.
The manga adaptation, launched in 2019, further broadened its audience while preserving the original visual identity that made the project stand out.
OceanVeil Continues Building Its Anime Catalog
This addition also highlights OceanVeil’s broader strategy of securing a mix of niche, fan-driven properties alongside larger mainstream titles as it establishes itself in the competitive anime streaming space.
By acquiring titles with existing cult audiences, the platform appears focused on quickly diversifying its offerings and attracting dedicated anime communities.
A Familiar Formula for Existing Fans
For longtime followers, Returns appears positioned as a continuation rather than a reinvention, preserving the exact style, tone and visual themes that originally defined the series.
While its appeal remains highly specific, the franchise’s longevity proves there is still a dedicated audience for its distinctive concept.
