Yurayura Q Manga by Gido Amagakure Set to End in July

Another manga is preparing to wrap up its journey, as Yurayura Q officially heads toward its final chapter this July.

The announcement came through the latest issue of The Hana to Yume Kami-sama magazine, confirming that the series will end with its next chapter scheduled for July 27. This marks the conclusion of a story that has been running since 2019.

A Five-Year Run Comes to an End

Yurayura Q first began serialization in October 2019 in The Hana to Yume Fantasy magazine. Over the years, it steadily built its presence within the publication, eventually reaching its fifth compiled volume, which was released earlier this year in January.

With its final chapter now confirmed, the series is set to close out a nearly five-year run, bringing its narrative to a complete conclusion rather than continuing indefinitely.

Gido Amagakure’s Ongoing Work

Even as Yurayura Q comes to an end, creator Gido Amagakure is far from stepping away from manga. The author recently launched a new series titled Tomoshibi Kara Sparkle, which began serialization in April in Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine.

This transition shows a continuous workflow, with Amagakure moving directly into a new project while concluding an ongoing one.

A Career Marked by Adaptations

Amagakure is widely recognized for several notable works that have successfully crossed into anime and live-action adaptations. One of the most well-known is Sweetness & Lightning, which ran from 2013 to 2018 and was later adapted into an anime series in 2016.

Another major title, A Galaxy Next Door, ran from 2020 to 2023 and also received both an anime adaptation and a live-action series. These projects helped establish Amagakure as a creator whose works translate well beyond manga.

Closing One Chapter, Starting Another

The ending of Yurayura Q fits into a broader pattern in Amagakure’s career, where projects reach a defined conclusion before the focus shifts to something new. Rather than extending a series beyond its natural endpoint, the approach seems to favor structured storytelling with a clear finish.

With a new manga already underway and Yurayura Q approaching its final chapter, the transition feels less like an ending and more like a shift toward the next phase of the author’s work.
