Dorohedoro is officially returning for a third anime season following the conclusion of Season 2.
The announcement was revealed shortly after the Season 2 finale aired, confirming that the chaotic dark fantasy series based on Q Hayashida’s manga will continue adapting the story.
Alongside the announcement, a new teaser visual was released teasing the return of Caiman, Nikaido, and the bizarre world of Hole as the story moves deeper into its increasingly violent and mysterious conflicts.
Produced by MAPPA, Dorohedoro became widely known for its unique mix of grotesque horror, dark comedy, brutal action, and surreal world-building. The anime’s distinctive visual style and chaotic atmosphere helped it develop a strong cult following after the first season premiered in 2020.
Season 2 finally debuted in Spring 2026 after a long wait from fans and continued adapting the manga’s darker and more intense story arcs. The sequel once again followed Caiman’s search for the truth behind his reptilian head and missing memories while the conflict between sorcerers and Hole residents escalated further.
The anime adaptation continues to be directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, with Hiroshi Seko handling series composition and Tomohiro Kishi providing character designs.
At the moment, no release window for Season 3 has been officially announced.
