The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is officially returning with a second anime season scheduled to premiere in October 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by a brand-new teaser visual, updated character artwork, and confirmation of the main production staff behind the upcoming sequel.
Season 2 will feature a studio change, with animation now being produced by ZERO-G.
The newly announced staff includes:
- Masahiro Takata as Director, Series Composition, and Sound Director
- Tomoko Shinozuka and Takahito Onishi handling the scripts alongside Masahiro Takata
- Mariko Kawamoto as Character Designer
- ZERO-G as Animation Studio
The main returning cast includes:
- Junya Enoki as Ray White
- Iori Saeki as Amelia Rose
- Akira Sekine as Ariane Algren
The teaser visual focuses on Ray White and hints at the continuation of his battles and struggles following the events of the first season.
Based on the light novel series written by Nana Mikoshiba and illustrated by Riko Korie, The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World follows Ray White, a seemingly ordinary student attending Arnold Academy of Sorcery. While many nobles look down on him for being a commoner, Ray secretly hides his true identity as the legendary Iceblade Sorcerer, one of the world’s most powerful magic users.
The first anime season aired in 2023 and streamed internationally through Crunchyroll.
