Natsume made his television series directorial debut with Space Dandy in 2014. He later directed the first season of One-Punch Man, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. and Boogiepop and Others.
In 2021, he created the original television anime Sonny Boy, serving as its original creator, director and scriptwriter. The series became known for its experimental storytelling, unusual visual direction and philosophical exploration of adolescence, isolation and identity.
Natsume also directed The Tatami Time Machine Blues, which was released theatrically in Japan in 2022 before receiving an episodic streaming version.

MADHOUSE Handles the Animation Production
Animation production is being handled by MADHOUSE, one of Japan’s most recognized anime studios.
