Soara and the House of Monsters Anime Opens the Door to a Magical 2027 Adventure
Soara and the House of Monsters is officially receiving a television anime adaptation, bringing Hidenori Yamaji’s imaginative fantasy manga to the screen in 2027.
The announcement arrived alongside the anime’s first teaser trailer, an atmospheric promotional visual, details about the main production staff and the first members of the Japanese voice cast. Animation production will be handled by FelixFilm.
Unlike many fantasy stories centered on heroes defeating monsters, Soara and the House of Monsters explores what happens after the war has already ended. Its world is built around architecture, companionship and the idea that every living creature deserves a place where it can feel safe.

Ikumi Hasegawa Will Voice Soara
Ikumi Hasegawa will provide the voice of Soara, the young warrior who suddenly finds herself living in a peaceful world she was never trained to understand.
Soara is highly capable in combat and possesses detailed knowledge about monster behavior. However, her strict upbringing has also made her serious, socially inexperienced and occasionally unable to follow the more playful behavior of Kirik and his companions.
Her character development is expected to become one of the emotional foundations of the anime. Soara begins the story believing that her value depends on her ability to fight, but her experiences with the builders gradually show her that strength can also be used to protect, create and connect people.
Hasegawa described the original manga as a heartwarming story with a beautifully detailed world. She also highlighted the sense of wonder created by the houses constructed by Kirik and the other craftsmen.
Ayumu Murase Joins the Cast as Kirik
Ayumu Murase will voice Kirik, the dwarf craftsman who introduces Soara to the world of monster architecture.
Despite his youthful appearance, Kirik is a highly talented builder with extensive knowledge of construction. He has a confident and dependable personality, often behaving like the older brother of the group, although he can reveal a more nervous side when unexpected dangers appear.

The project will be directed by Takaharu Ozaki, whose previous directing credits include fantasy and action productions such as Goblin Slayer.
Ayumu Hisao will oversee series composition, adapting the manga’s individual construction adventures and larger character story into a television format.
Tomoko Iwasa is responsible for character design. Her work will be particularly important because the original manga is known for its detailed illustrations and the distinctive appearances of its many monster species.
The soundtrack will be composed by Hinako Tsubakiyama. The music is expected to support the story’s combination of wonder, warmth, melancholy and fantasy adventure.
