From Saros to Invincible VS: All Game Releases This Week

A new week has arrived, and with it comes a fresh lineup of highly anticipated game releases across multiple platforms.

If you're planning your next gaming sessions, this is one of those weeks that actually delivers variety. From narrative-driven sci-fi experiences to arcade-style sports and competitive fighting games, there’s something for pretty much every type of player. The biggest highlight right now is easily Saros, a roguelite action title built exclusively for the PS5 by the same studio behind Returnal.

On top of that, we also have Invincible VS bringing chaotic superhero battles into the fighting game space, and FIFA Heroes marking a new era for football games after the end of FIFA’s long partnership with EA.

Here’s a complete breakdown of the week’s main releases, including platforms, gameplay direction and what you can expect from each one.

Aphelion (April 27)

Developed by DON’T NOD, a studio widely recognized for its strong narrative-driven experiences, Aphelion is shaping up to be a tense sci-fi adventure focused on survival and emotional storytelling.

The game follows a protagonist stranded on a hostile alien planet after a catastrophic accident. From there, the entire experience revolves around exploration, searching for a missing companion and trying to survive in an environment filled with unknown threats.

Gameplay mixes exploration, stealth mechanics and puzzle-solving under pressure, all supported by a cinematic presentation and detailed futuristic environments. It’s the kind of game that leans heavily into immersion rather than fast-paced action.

FIFA Heroes (April 28)

After ending its long-standing partnership with Electronic Arts, FIFA is finally stepping into the market with its own standalone title. FIFA Heroes is not trying to replicate traditional simulation football. Instead, it takes a completely different direction.

This is a mobile-focused experience built around arcade-style 5v5 matches, featuring stylized characters and exaggerated abilities. Matches are faster, more chaotic and designed to be accessible for casual players while still offering competitive elements.

The game mixes real-world inspiration with fictional elements, creating a more playful take on football that fits perfectly within mobile gaming trends.

Platforms: iOS, Android
Price: Free-to-play (with in-app purchases)

MotoGP 26 (April 29)

For racing fans, MotoGP 26 brings back the official motorcycle racing simulation with updated teams, riders and circuits based on the current season.

This year’s entry focuses heavily on realism, with improvements to bike physics and weight handling that make riding more responsive and punishing when mistakes happen. On top of that, the game also introduces upgrades to its Career mode and online multiplayer systems.

It’s clearly aiming to push the technical side further for current-gen platforms while still maintaining support across a wide range of systems.

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2

Saros (April 30)

The biggest release of the week is without a doubt Saros, a new roguelite action game from Housemarque, developed exclusively for PS5.

The story follows Arjun Devraj, a seasoned explorer trapped on a mysterious planet filled with dangerous anomalies and constantly shifting conditions. As expected from the genre, death is not the end. Instead, each failure contributes to long-term progression.

The game combines intense third-person combat with a persistent upgrade system, allowing players to grow stronger over time even after repeated defeats. Alongside the gameplay loop, there’s also a strong narrative layer dealing with loss, survival and uncovering what really happened to the crew.

Platforms: PS5 (exclusive)

Invincible VS (April 30)

Closing out the week, Invincible VS brings the brutal energy of the animated series into a full-fledged fighting game.

The game uses a 3v3 tag-team system, allowing players to switch characters mid-combat and chain combos in a way that adds depth to the gameplay. This creates a much higher skill ceiling, especially in competitive matches.

Visually, it stays extremely faithful to the animation style, while delivering over-the-top action, special moves and cinematic attacks. The package includes a story mode, local multiplayer and ranked online battles.

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC

A Week Packed With Variety

Overall, this week stands out more for its diversity than sheer volume. You’ve got narrative-heavy sci-fi, competitive fighting, arcade sports and realistic simulation all landing within a few days.

Whether you're looking for a deep single-player experience like Saros or something more casual like FIFA Heroes, this lineup offers multiple entry points depending on your style of play.
